Assessments
GENERAL ASSESSMENTS
Assessment is given and monitored lesson by lesson. If students face challenges with any subject matter, intervention lessons are provided immediately. After student has mastered or show a positive understanding trajectory, they will move on to next lesson.
There are two official assessments:
· First Semester (half of academic year)
· Second Semester(End of academic year)
NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS
Elementary School students may take Grade Level Assessment Test (GLAT) at the preference of the parents.
Middle School students in Grade 8 will take Bahamas Junior Certificate (BJC) Assessments in Core subject areas and any other The Academy recommends.
High School students in Grade 11 and 12 will take core Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) subjects and any other subjects The Academy recommends.
INTERNATIONAL STANDARDIZED COURSES/TESTS
High School students will have the opportunity to take AP Courses in core course as well as what The Academy recommends.
The Academy will facilitate American Standardized Tests including but not limited to PSAT, SAT, and ACT in preparation for higher education application Cycle.
